When does the renewal process begin, and what actions am I expected to take?

The annual benefits renewal cycle officially kicks off every September. During this initial phase, our team proactively reaches out to all plan administrators. This is a critical time for collaboration, where we review the current plan's performance and discuss any necessary modifications or enhancements for the upcoming year. These adjustments can range from altering employee waiting periods and updating eligibility requirements to modifying employer contribution levels.

Our primary objective is to have all policy updates and plan designs finalized by early November. This timeline is crucial as it allows us ample time to prepare all necessary documentation and communications for a smooth transition into the next phase. Following this, the annual open enrollment window opens, running from November 1 through December 15. This dedicated period provides employees with the opportunity to carefully review their options, select new health plans, renew existing ones, or make changes to their coverage. All selections and updates made during open enrollment will take effect on January 1 of the following year.
